CARALERT

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of CarAlert. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use CarAlert.

1. About CarAlert

CarAlert provides QR-code-based vehicle contact and alert features. Depending on the vehicle owner's settings, a person scanning a code may be able to send an alert or use available contact methods. Features may vary by device, browser, network, and configuration.

2. Accounts and accurate information

Owners must provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must notify the service administrator if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Vehicle details and QR codes

You may register or manage only vehicles you own or are authorized to manage. Keep QR codes associated with the correct vehicle and place them where they can be scanned safely. Anyone with access to a QR code may be able to open its guest page, so do not use it to publish information you do not want to share.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse CarAlert to harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, track, or unlawfully contact another person. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, upload malicious content, or use CarAlert for unlawful purposes. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.

5. Alerts and notifications

Alert delivery and push notifications depend on factors outside CarAlert's control, including internet connectivity, device settings, browser or operating-system permissions, and third-party services. Delivery may be delayed or fail. Owners should not rely on CarAlert as the sole means of receiving time-critical information.

6. Contact options and user responsibility

Owners control which contact options are enabled and are responsible for ensuring that the information they choose to display is appropriate and up to date. Guests should use contact details respectfully and only for the purpose for which they are provided.

7. Not an emergency service

CarAlert is a vehicle contact tool, not an emergency-response service, security service, or guarantee of assistance. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency services directly. Do not assume that an owner has received or will respond to an alert.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain or improve the service, address security issues, or comply with applicable requirements. We aim to keep CarAlert available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled in connection with CarAlert.

10. Disclaimer and limitation

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CarAlert is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee that every alert, contact method, or notification will work in every circumstance. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as CarAlert changes. The latest version and its update date will be published on this page. Continued use after updated terms are published means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, please use the CarAlert contact page.

These terms are a general starting point and are not legal advice. Have them reviewed for the jurisdictions where CarAlert will operate before relying on them as a final legal document.
